Ahmed Haykel Gaafar is the director of REspect!, a reporting portal countering hate speech in Germany. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in interreligious studies at Bamberg University in Germany. He holds a B.A. in Islamic studies in foreign languages from Al-Azhar University. An alumnus of the Emerging Peacemakers Forum at Cambridge University, his scholarly interests range from Arabic literature and Quranic exegesis to combating religious radicalization. Ahmed is a member of the Human Fraternity Fellows Program 2023-2024 cohort.
